The Synagogue in Albertirsa (Pest county) is the city’s oldest listed building: it was built between 1807-1809 in the classicizing, late Baroque style. In the decades after the Holocaust, it was used for agricultural purposes (for example, a grain storehouse), but later it was empty for a long time. The building was restored at a cost of almost HUF 300 million with the support of Norfund, the design was made by Noémi Varga (Numbernow). Since 2017, the former synagogue has hosted cultural events under the name Művészetek Háza (House of Arts)
